VACANCY: MEDICAL MALE CIRCUMCISION (MMC) COORDINATOR

JPS Africa invites applications from suitably qualified and experienced candidates for the position of Medical Male Circumcision (MMC) Coordinator based in the Western Cape.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and supporting the effective implementation of MMC programme activities, working closely with healthcare facilities, programme teams and relevant stakeholders to promote quality service delivery and achievement of programme objectives.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor of Clinical Medical Practice (BCMP) or Degree in Nursing
• Registration as a Clinical Associate with the Health Professions Council of South Africa
• Completion of community service
• Experience in male circumcision for HIV prevention (preferred)
• Experience in HIV prevention programming and MMC clinical training (advantageous)
• Knowledge of quality assurance and quality improvement approaches
• Ability to take initiative and work efficiently in a team
• Strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Computer literacy (Microsoft Word, Outlook, email, internet use)

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Programme Coordination & Implementation

• Coordinate MMC programme activities across supported sites.
• Support the planning and implementation of programme activities.
• Identify and address implementation gaps and operational challenges.

2. Service Delivery & Quality Assurance

• Support the delivery of quality MMC services.
• Promote adherence to relevant clinical standards, guidelines and programme requirements.
• Support quality improvement activities across supported sites.

3. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

• Monitor programme performance and progress against agreed targets.
• Review performance information and identify areas requiring improvement.
• Collaborate with M&E and Strategic Information teams to support accurate and timely reporting.

4. Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Coordination

• Build and maintain effective relationships with healthcare facilities and relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with relevant district and provincial health structures.
• Work cross-functionally with Clinical, Logistics, M&E, Strategic Information, Operations and other relevant teams to support integrated programme delivery.
