St Anne’s Homes,
is a registered shelter in Cape Town, offering safe accommodation, counselling
and support services to women and their children who are survivors of
Gender-Based Violence.
THE ROLE
The Social
Worker will provide professional social work services to women and their
children in crisis, ensuring their safety, well-being and empowerment. You will
conduct assessments, develop care plans, procide counselling, facilitate
referrals and advocate for clients rights while maintaining accurate records
and contributing to a supportive team environment.
REQUIREMENTS
- Degree in Social Work (Registered with SACSSP)
- Minimum of 10 years
experience in social work, preferably in a shelter, tauma or GBV setting
- Sound knowledge of Gender-Based Violence, trauma-informed care
and child protection
- Strong assessment, counselling, case management and advocacy
skills
- Ability to wor independently and as part of a multidisciplinary
team
- Excellent communication, report writing and organizational
skills
- Computer proficiency (MS Office)
DRIVER
REQUIREMENT
·
Valid Code B driver’s licence
·
Must be able to confidently
drive a manual (stick shift) vehicle
· Willingness to travel within Cape Town as required
